Movies often have a few lines that jump out and become wildly popular, so much so, everyone ends up quoting these lines all the time.  An example would be “Yeah Baby” from Austin Powers. Like it or not, we’ve all heard it numerous times, I’m sure. Whether a quote is catchy, funny, tragic, depressing, inspiring or what-have-you, we all love movie quotes! So

Bonus Feature: The Game!


 Vern and my group of friends, we have always had a never-ending game that I’m sure a lot of other people play, too. There is no formal name for it that I know of, but it revolves all around movie quotes. Someone says a movie quote (much better effect when done in perfect context to the situation/conversation in progress, but it’s not a hard rule) and if you know the quote, you raise your hand. The person that said the movie quote calls on a person with their hand up and they can guess the movie quote. If that person gets it correct, they give a drink to anyone they want. If that person gets it wrong, they must take the drink themselves.


It’s quite a fantastic game, especially when you get creative people doing awesome or obscure movie quotes in context, sometimes acting out the scene or adding the inflection from the original movie quote to make it more fun. Our group of friends can’t get enough of this game. The best part is, it’s ALWAYS ON. Someone could do a movie quote at any moment. We don’t keep score or anything, but it's almost bragging rights to get your hand up first to guess it. If you’ve never played this game, I HIGHLY suggest giving it a shot, unless your friends are lame and clueless about movies and/or TV shows.
