The Vern's Complete 2013 Oscar Nomination list.

Over on the site Film Actually there is a contest to see who can accurately predict the nominees for the 2013 Academy Awards. I am very honored to be a part of this and have worked hard at making my choices  This is not going to be an easy task because I have not seen every single movie from last year.  Oh I have seen a lot , but not enough to really know for sure what will be nominated.  However  these are the ones that I fully believe should be nominated.    Here is my complete list, but I am not including any of the shorts.  Sorry.

  1. Hey bud, good choices but just 3 things you need to change:

    - Best Makeup will only have 3 nominees, so you'll have to drop 2 of those. N.B - Holy Motors and Cloud Atlas didn't make the shortlist (http://www.oscars.org/press/pressreleases/2012/20121215.html)

    - Looper isn't eligible for Visual Effects. http://www.oscars.org/press/pressreleases/2012/20121129.html

    - Holy Motors and The Raid aren't eligible for Best Foreign Film. http://www.oscars.org/press/pressreleases/2012/20121221.html

Once you've made those changes, give me a tweet and you'll be all set.

    1. You need to substitute Django in Visual Effects as well.

    2. It's changed. Damn these list of whose eligble and whose not would really piss me off if I made these movies.

  3. After watching Les Mis last night, I really hope it gets as many nods as mentioned as above. Hathaway was fantastic... i dried like a baby on her solo song.

    1. If Hathaway scores an Oscar I will be very happy. She was the best.
